TRAINING COURSES SPRING/SUMMER 2014…
BASIC FOOD HYGIENE & HACCP – LEVEL 1
On completion of the Food Hygiene & HACCP Course participants will have acquired the basic level of food safety knowledge appropriate to the Food Safety Authority of Ireland level 1 training guidelines. The course contents include:
• The importance of food safety
• How bacteria grow & contamination
• Personal hygiene, cleaning and pest control
• Safe food handling and storage
• Introduction to HACCP & Record keeping
• Course assessment
Training Programme Duration: 3 hours (10am-1pm)
Delegates to attend: New food handlers,
refresher training
Certificates: Awarded by QHS Cost: €55pp
EHOA PRIMARY COURSE IN FOOD SAFETY – LEVEL 2
On completion of the Environmental Health Officers Association certified Primary Course in Food Safety participants will have acquired an intermediate level of food safety knowledge appropriate to the Food Safety Authority of Ireland level 2
training guidelines. The course contents include:
• Introduction to food safety & basic microbiology
• Food contamination
• Pre Requisites (cleaning, personal hygiene, pest control)
• Food delivery, storage, preparation, cooking, service
•  HACCP & monitoring of Critical Control Points
•  Course assessment
Training Programme Duration: 8 hours (9am-5pm)
Delegates to attend: supervisors, managers, senior staff
Certificates: Awarded by EHOA Cost: €150pp

Full payment to be made at least two weeks before the course commences. Fees remain fully payable for cancellation within 1 week of
course commencement; however substitutions may be made at any stage before course commencement. Full course fees remain payable
for delegates who fail to attend. A certificate is awarded to delegates who satisfactorily complete the course. QHS Ltd. reserves the right to cancel a course if there is insufficient demand.
